one guy on abarthforums has his AGP mapped to 194hp now problems by red dot, with out other modifications! 184 with intercooler, induction and gtec exhaust should see some good gains when mapped

i like the look of the gtec kits the 265bhp kit for bout 4grand! I know i wouldnt bother with the esseesse kit

yeah, when i went to see him to get his abarth wheels the car was completely standard apart from the map then and he was talking about the other mods. should get his mapped tweaked, would be intresting to see what his running now?

Hes got them on and had them mapped with those. Didnt make anything else i dont think. Bigger injectors are needed if he wants more power.

VL 36 abarth turbo??? right VL37 turbo is the standard 120 t-jet turbo???? so wat is a VL38???? just worry i have been ripped off because I just put a VL38 on my t-jet thinking its the abarth turbo and from reading this the VL36 is the abarth turbo

VL38 is fitted on the Fiat 500 Abarth!

Yes does explain a bit really. So I guess I probably down on power abit now then as the abarth is 133bhp and most GP t-jets are 140bhpish standard. so I defo got the 500 abarth turbo?

I'd say the power is more ECU controlled rather than by the turbo.

I would agree with you there, but the turbo isnt controlled by the ECU on these.... the Mjet has electric VG turbo (therefore controlled by ECU), Tjet is just regular wastegated using pressure to operate the actuator. A remap would help though

This was the Ad;
Turbo upgrade available for punto t jet 120bhp, bravo 120bhp and alpha romeo mito 120bhp. these are vl38 style turbos and are fitted to punto abarths as well as mito 157 bhp engine they are a direct replacement but will need a remap to get full hp of around 170 bhp +

Please note the wast gate control arms (diaphragm) are not fitted but come in the box with the turbo to prevent damage.

These units are as new

no mate the 36 is the same as the 38 the 36 was used over seas not many of them were brought over here. they are the same engines. the differences are practically nothing. the vl 38 is also fitted to the alfa romeo mito that is also 155bhp. you will be slightly down on power due to the injectors needing a remap.
