Tuning Grande T-Jet fitted with abarth turbo

Abarth standard boost presure is around a bar. 14.5 psi

how much further can the abarth turbo be pushed than the t-jet?
i've heard the limit for the t-jet is around 160 ish, but has anyone tried going over this ?

175bhp-179bhp.engine sensors and turbo wont allow any more.
Then the ecu protocol wont allow.the fittment and remap for next level sensors.hence the need for the larger garrett gt1446 turbo.
Bigger injectors.and the change of various engine sensors.oh and the ecu map
Is written completly differant.

An abarth made 187 with Forge FMIC, induction and Gtec exhaust a few weeks ago.

He had a good exhaust though. Even with the abarth backbox you arent going to see massive amounts. Maybe 155. Mine was mapped with just GSR and it will not go past 150-153bhp so you can hope all you want lol

If you didnt read the thread title.it says abarth turbo on a t-jet.not chuck money at it...!if you want a really quick car buy one..!
To put the abarth turbo on a t-jet and get a remap you can trust your looking at spending between £400-£550 for the turbo then £350 for a good remap.
There is nearly £900.
Then by the time youve put the rest of the parts on the car that made the so called 187 bhp youre looking at another £1000 totals just shy of £1900
Now thats value for money... Lol

Yeah i can read. But then it was asked Tjet turbo compared to abarth so i answered the question. Wasnt specific to Tjet or abarth about what power it can take so i am right as 190bhp is what the turbo can take. Wasnt asked what has to be done to get it to that power.


£1900 for a 60bhp gain if you go off book figure is quite good. Just under 30bhp per bhp which is about average. I know where mine will get mapped even if you dont trust them HAve you got your results back to see if it was down to mapping?

Abarth turbo (vl 36) with a remmap. The SS turbo is not an ihi, its a garett GT1446.

yes i know.... do you know if the abarth esseesse kit would fit to a tjet 120???
