ive carbon fibred the door handles, started of with just the handles, then i decided to try and do the comple surrounding and it looked real good so i decided to complete the rest of them. the surounding was done with three parts or carbon, i did the top half and then cut the bottom and stuck and heated that and last the inside of the surrounding, as long as you make sure to match the wave of the pattern you will not make out / see where the join is

tried a single piece and heated it but it didnt bend properly and it kept bubbling. this approach makes it look neat and the joins are not even seen.
the mirrors were an head ache. it needed to be heated and i had to bend it so so many times, here you need somebody to give you a hand, one to heat and the other to bend it around the curves, it took me such a long time to do due to bend ing and getting the creases out, which seemed impossible at the point, so all i did was pull all the creases to the closest inner edge of the mirror towards the window and i had to cut that off but i found it looked odd, i also trimmed the excess around the mirrors... biggest mistake, what i didnt realise is that when carbon fibre is heated it starts becoming flexible again, so while driving in the sun it became flexible and with the speed it was cooling at the same time which made it all pull to the centre and it was coming off.
so i had to start over :bang:
this time i heated and had to bend the carbon all around and into the lip where the mirror is visible on the other end. here you end up with creases so i heated that and tried to get rid of most of the creases. so i decided the only other way to neaten that was to cut two thin strips of carbon, here again keeping to pattern. and cover that lip with the strip.
i managed to cover one side only last night, didnt take any pics of that. so probably this evening i will do so.
