Hi everyone,
I’m thinking about installing an aftermarket rear muffler on my Fiat Grande Punto 1.4 T-Jet. I’m mainly looking for a deeper, sportier exhaust tone – more of a rumble than loud or raspy sound. I don’t want it to be too aggressive or drone on the highway, just something that sounds a bit more alive.
At the moment, the car is completely stock apart from a Ram Air intake. No remap, no downpipe, no midbox delete – just the intake.
I’ve been considering some universal mufflers. Would using a high-flow muffler like that be a bad idea for this engine? Could it mess with turbo performance, backpressure, or drivability?
Ideally, I want something that gives a richer sound without needing a full remap or causing issues.
Would you have a suggestion that doesn’t cost a fortune?
Thank you!
