good london mechanic

Hello everyone.

Can anyone recommend a good London mechanic for 500s preferably in West/North London area although I don’t mind travelling for a good one!

I bought my first fiat 500 pop new about a year ago and I just want to give it a health check and make sure everything was fine.

Generally I think everything is ticking along nicely with it – apart from very unfortunately, in the last couple of weeks I had a very annoying passenger who slammed my car boot down repeatedly when trying to fit some luggage in and now the catch on the boot doesn’t seem to work. It works fine if I use it on the key.

I’ve seen the other recent thread about this but I was hoping that it might be something a good mechanic can easily sort out.

Take it to a dealer. I am sure the warranty will cover it. Why pay someone to repair it?

needs new release switch by the description which is a common fault, lock must be ok or it wouldn't work (release?) with key (remote?)......anyway thewre are no good mechanics (technicians?)

find your nearest FIAT main dealer, and book an appointment to get the catch checked under warranty,

for Warranty compliance you'll need ALL servicing to be done by a VAT registered place with the correct parts + oils, etc.

although for a "check over" anywhere will do,
somebody posted details of a good "mechanic" in london for their 500's suspension,( @ 2 weeks ago),

If its only a year old it may not need a service yet and in any case the tailgate switch is not a serviceable item so just get the car to the nearest dealer:worship::bang:

Yeah I had my boot release replaced under warranty no problems and it worked with the key just like yours
