Never heard of the two different threads, maybe buy both sets, fit the ones that are correct then return the other set? Make sure the parts supplier is OK with this set up first obvs, start spraying plus gas on them now and if it starts getting tight coming out DON'T FORCE IT! just work them out a little then screw back in, then out a little again etc, then repeat

On top of that you need to do it with a hot engine do no try when cold you are asking for trouble

Hi, I literally did this on my 2015 doblo today. I'd been to euro car parts and gave my reg, so they gave me the correct bosch replacements. (Part code on side of box in pic below). They were 8mm thread, and required a 9mm deep socket, I didn't need to buy the specialist, glow plug socket, my deep ones fitted fine. Hope that answers your question, bit more of what I did below, which may help.

Other than the plastic engine cover, I didn't need to remove anything else to get good access. I had been giving them a liberal squirt of penetrant each evening for the last few days once I got home and while the engine was still warm. I used 1/4 inch ratchet set with its long extension and again while engine was still warm, another squirt of penetrant and they all came out without any real fuss. My doblo has done 80k as a guide as I read problems with sheared threads tend to happen on higher miliage vehicles.

Bit of copper slip on the new ones and they all seated niceley on way back in. I started to use my torque wrench, but to be honest It didn't feel right in comparison to how easily they undid, so I ended up just tightening them well as my wrench hasn't been calibrated for quite some time. If you are going for correct settings, I haven't found a decent version of the most recent doblo workshop manual online, but did find the Bosch literature (attached to post) for the duraterm plugs which are the correct ones.

As you can see the old plugs came out with all threads in good condition when compared to the new ones.

Any questions, just ask.

Thank you for all your help is yours a1.3d

Ah, no sorry, mine is 1.6.

As I said, I use euro car parts (quite often), they're pretty reasonable, but on occasion when their part is pricey they never worry about handing over a part number when you enquire. Can do it via email or calling them. They've only ever given me the wrong part once and there were no quibbles when I returned it. Also once I was fitting a set of shoes and my car showed there were 2 possible variants, they gave me both sets and refunded the set I didn't use when I returned.

I've had a quick look and seems as though the 2015 1.3 diesel is an m8 plug, but most local part suppliers, partco, euro etc are usually happy to identify correct part, on phone or in person, just need the vehicle reg.

Ok thank you I will have a look at euro car parts tomorrow

It turns out mine takes a 4.4v M9 plug same as Stop/Start engine although mine isn't and that's what was throwing me because when trying to order plugs it kept saying 4.4v didn't fit my engine so a very helpful guy at fiat checked it out and its 4.4v
