Get-away driver, FOR HIRE

Get-away driver, FOR HIRE

LOL, exactly, something like a fire extinguisher is going to knock somebody out cold nice and easy, even if you throw it at them! lol. Turning it on them might be funny though, although it will probably get you stabbed!

If I was under a knife attack I would just give up completely and give them what they want and hope that they take what they want and don't stab me. If anything else I would try to run like anything - the adreline rush would make a huge difference I am sure!

I have watched a lot of self-defence and look at all the theory but the only way it would work is if you were extremely good at it - very few are.

I used to do taekwondo (before I permanently knackered my leg muscles B)) and they showed us what to do if someone comes at you with a knife: grab the arm holding the knife, spin round, twist the arm so the wrist faces upwards, pull their elbow over your shoulder and pull down on the wrist to break their elbow :D

Or just kick the tosser in the face :p

just to oppose paul (not seriously of course)

i offer my own services as a getaway driver, and hold these 3 advantages over the opposition [)]

1. i don't need protection - i CAN take care of myself ;)
2. i do speed, and know my car quite well, as i'm sure members of the forum can confirm
3.(and most importantly) i don't cause a road rage incident everytime some tw*t has his foglights on!!!!!

:D:D

Against Donz's post:

1. I am not too bad, and I am a good runner!
2. Speed isn't everything, it's all about local knowledge [}:)];) I also know my car very well!
3. Good point, if whilst on any getaway, a driver is seen with fogs on/mobile on, the getaway chase will have to be brought to an end to take care of that side situation.

against pauls post :)

1. i'm sure your employer will be most satisfied when his getaway driver leg's it
2. when your employersuggests that heading for the police station isn't really where he wants to be, listen to him ;)
3. i don't need to comment on this one :D

And I guess being a fiat vs. a Jap car, mine is less reliable too ;)

Fanstastic getaway cars honda civics :) Failing that a Mitsubishi Lancer evo VII or VIII (get more boot space for stolen cash) :D. Or if its sheer speed and handleing you need cant fault a Mazda Rx-8 perfectly balanced you would take the corners a lot faster than a copper in a BMW [8D].

Are we all a bunch of get-away drivers at heart?? i think so!

Alex, going way back up ^ where you said that people pull out infront of you.
Jus drive with your lights on! although kinda hard for you coz your half lights are those weird flashing led things (which are cool) :D

I also agree with the "Focus drivers are pussies" theory[8D]

I thought the Panda was the ultimate get-away car according to this thread:

:p

New Fiat Ulysse 2.2JTD Eleganza, in silver, with options :D

LOL! And as my Uno is moderately faster than a 900cc panda, mine must be also able to beat an EVO and BMW on the twisty bits, I love FWD ;)

I've got nothing against the panda (like you I assume) but such allegations are so false! As I said before, I expect an Evo could out perform a Panda up to 30, nevermind 60, in 3rd gear! And then continue in that gear up the pandas top speed! lol
