The events map has been upgraded to v3 of the Google Maps API, which means I've now got the tools to code in geocoding 
(or I should say, I already did)
What does this mean?
Well now, when adding an event you don't need to scroll around the map for ages looking for the location - just fill in the address, part address, or even just postcode into the new search box and everything will be done automatically for you
(Remember, you need to click the "Find/Set Location" link on the new event page first to bring the map up).
Have also changed the resultant links to go to Google Maps instead of Multimap, so you now have quite a bit more flexibility there too
I do still have to upgrade the big "Overview Map" to v3 - however all that will do is make it look nicer, the main functionality on the main front end won't change.
