Morning guys my 2011 fiat panda 1.2 petrol fuel float is not showing the correct readings I have heard its under the rear seat for access but that is all I know is it an easy process or best left alone when tank is full it reads 3/4 full its really annoying especially when near 1/4full any help much appreciated tia

The fuel sender is part of the fuel pump under the rear seats

Normally on most cars the locking ring can be knocked on and off with a hammer

However on the panda the top of the plastics tank will more than likely swelled making it very tight and will need a special tool

It's up to you if you change it, cost and time Vs inconvenience,

Theres no guarantee although it's most likely to be the sender in the fuel pump, there's also the dash and wiring

Cheers koaler I have another question if you don't mind I've noticed the offside upper engine mount the inner rubber has a gap which I think shouldn't be there the top of it is arched but on closer inspection you can get a knife blade to pass through it what are your thoughts please

Photo would probably help

If you mean the right hand engine mount over the engine

And here

It's normal

While your looking at it

Look for cracks lower circle

Delamination of the rubber to the centre metal diamond shape normally near the upper circle

Don't normally go unless the engine been running bad and shacking a lot

Cheers mate mind of information
Hi koaler
Well I tried replacing the fuel pump everything went as planned then it came the time to remove the tank lid. That lid is reluctant to play ball it's absolutely solid I've bought the tool you suggested it's a brilliant bit of kit but the tank lid won very long flat head screwdriver and mallet nothing not even a centimetre I was thinking small hacksaw but the tank is3/4 full so it might contaminate the fuel any other ideas are most welcome TIA
