General frozen door locks

i have noticed this problem as the car is getting older when we get a frost overnight i can not even get key in the lock it is frozen inside , never used to do this must come with age, is there anything i can do to stop lock freezing overnight, someone said wait to summer and put grease inside the lock, resorting to leaving car unlocked overnight!! even de icer does not work inside of the lock,

you could try a drop of engine oil in the lock,happend to me before xmas.
squeezed a little oil in and no more problem.

i had this to mate i found a quick fix is to spray de icer into the lock but in the long run the oil is the best solution

If you get stuck just WEE on the lock. Make sure you are not outside a school or built up area though as this won't stand up in court, especially in July.
