Looking to source complete axles (left & right) for a 1996 1.1L Panda 4x4. Are these available, and if so, from where? Thx

Those are the same as for the standard 2 wheel drive Panda! Not the early years.

any manual Fiat Panda drive shafts from before 2003 with the FIRE engine (769cc, 999cc, 1108cc) should fit yours.. both 2x4 and 4x4 :D
pretty much with Fiats, if the engine was the FIRE engine and gearbox used "wet" drive shafts (the CV boots hold in the gearbox oil) they would all be compatible. its how the cost was reduced. same parts throughout different car models.

the 1.1 (1108cc) Cinquecento/Seicento Sporting and i think even the Fiat Uno with the same line of engine also have drive shafts that fit.
im not sure about the Fiat Punto however. the Punto 55 used the 1108cc engine but i am not sure if the gearbox used wet drive shafts. (the car was a bit wider than the panda so i believe the drive shafts were different.)

Attention: the early models (MkI) should be avoided because they have a more 'primitive' way of oil gasket at the gearbox side! So I think from 1986 on or so they all have the 'newer' and better gasket system. And I heard some remarks on problems with different Tripods too... Most are 'reconditioned' ones and all manufactureres give not the same quality. The for good quality bearings reknown 'SKF' seems not to belong to the good ones!

we should be OK here as pretty much anything mk1 (pre 86) never used the FIRE engine ;) good info though.. i didnt know that.
basically if the engine does not have a over head cam, dont use its driveshafts.
