Panda (Classic) Fizzle :)

Feeling more confused and less confident to tackle the wiring after reading "the guides" :(

I've decided to leave the wiring and get some new trailing arms fitted (seems simple in comparison, what could possibly go wrong?)

I've enquired on Italian ebay about a pair just waiting for a postage quote.

Once that's sorted I can drive over to see Fizzles Uncledragonman and be bewitched by his electrickery if he's feeling so kind?

That's if he hasn't absconded to Scotchland again

Edit: Perhaps I should get a hand with the arms too?

I'm not having any luck with the Italian ebay, very cheap at £15 each.

The only ones I've found here are £40 each, I refuse to pay such prices!

I'm afraid Fizzle's not going anywhere until some new ones are fitted that don't break the bank.

A few of the suppliers on the links at the top of the page no longer work :(

7555570 strut as eper calls them, trailing arms to the rest of us - having trouble sourcing one for sensible money. Big mick ain't got any and they're discontinued by fiat. Italian Ebayers are not responding to my inquiries. Plenty of bushes on eBay but I don't have any tools to replace them and the metal is pretty rusty so don't fancy the chances of them surviving being removed let alone reconditioned.

If anyone's got a good second hand pair that can be refurbed they will have to do, I really don't want to have to sorn Fizzle :(

Ahem. :p

Does this help...? :D

And, yes, I know it says "4x4" -- but this page seems to have all bases covered....

PS: Also found this.... :)

Thanks Homey, not really much cheaper than buying from over here though!

I've not heard back from the cheap supplier in Italy so I suppose they don't want to ship to here.

This will have to go on the back burner as joy of joys the council want their tax paying :(

MOT ran out today, no sign or confirmation of Italian ebay trailing arms.

Looks like he's in for a nice rest on the drive for now.

The Italian trader refunded me as they decided they didn't post to the UK afterall. So much for European harmony then - I blame that weedy little bastard farage - which in itself sounds like a pervy sexual practise. "Oh darling farage me again!" :yuck:

So.....no trailing arms for now (I wont pay £40 each), no MOT, no Fizzling :(

Jeso mate bad news :( hope you find a solution for this soon

Me too, I can't find any in this country on the internet now I'm looking for some again. Big Mick says they're unavailable.

VmanC where do you get yours I presume panto has had a new set?

Ricambio always have them (3 in stock) but you won't get it under £40 if that's all you're prepared to pay.

You're going to be £50 each posted from there, but it's simple supply & demand unfortunately. If I needed it would I pay £50 - yes, therefore they will keep selling at that price.

Thanks, I'll get a pair from Ricambio when I get paid/lotto win ;)

Cinqy is in the MOT queue too and since there aren't any obvious issues he gets to jump over Fizzle and face the inquisitor tomorrow

Oh well, will have to bite the bullet and buy from Ricambo through gritted teeth.

While Cinqy didn't pass the fixes are cheap and easy for the garage to do - and the parts are available too (CV Boot (must be the season for it) and rear bearing) ;)

I think I made the best decision putting Cinqy through as even if Fizzle had passed I wouldn't be happy driving him until he's fettled.

Fizzle will be lavished with love and attention VmanC's once the Y10 is ready to drive away so this is only a temporary lay up he's still taxed and insured though. :)
