Panda (Classic) Fizzle :)

I'm sure the purple one will fly through the MOT - especially if it comes off the rolling road  :p

Thanks mate :) Its just that my previous garage has closed down so trying another one, its a bit nerve wracking cos my family have used the other garage for mots since 1986, and we could get a fair tester there :) Just not sure about taking my car to another tester, so I am going to stay there while they do it, to make sure its treated fairly and with respect. (y)

ask people in local clubs where they get there MOT's, must be a classic car club or something near you. But i feel your pain fella, i just moved and had used the same garage for years for all my cars and i really liked the tester - usually i would give him a hand, sit and turn lights on and stuff and he let me go have a butchers underneath while it was up on the ramps which always makes you gutted you don't have ramps at home. He even leant me his tools once when i failed and som stuff needed 'twiddling' to make it pass. Been using him for about 7 or 8 years and now next time i'm gonna have to try some random local garage and just fingers crossed they are ok as well. Although i must say i'm tempted to just drive the 200 miles up north just for my MOT lol.

60 miles to Risborough from Cheltenham - I have a classic friendly mot chap who will fix small things as it's done, let me poke around underneath etc. (y) Still a long way, but better than 200 miles! Ask Si where he gets his done though

Fizzle's trailing arms are shot :(

I think they will have to wait a little while before I change them though as the other resto/cinqy projects have skinted me out for the time being.

I'm tempted to leave them until I collect the Y10 and let VmanC sort him out properly - I'm sure there's lots of other bushes and stuff that could do with renewal and I'm tempted to try and get an ARB fitted (if I can find one!) too.

I'm also finding it difficult to shake the idea of having a webasto sunroof fitted - inparticular similar to what was fitted to Jim's sylvia(?). Mainly because I want to feel that Italian sun on me whilst driving Fizzle there next year.
Yeah could buy a twin sunnied panda but it wouldn't be my Fizzle would it?

I had both sunnies open today for the first time this year, simply awesome :)

Have you thought about twin sunnies rather than the webasto option? Just curious :)

And I am finding myself increasingly tempted to come on this Italian road trip :) what an experience!

Did have a brief talk about fitting a roof with twin sunnies and it's not as straight forward as first thought. Factoring in making good the paint it would probably be not far off the webasto price - and it's still not an electric sliding roof! :)

I've decided to refit the bumper with golf spoiler attached and fogs. I've bought the wiring, relay, fuse and switch just need a helpful person to make me a little wiring diagram as I'm unsure where to take the feeds from.

I've still got that seicento tacho too to fit, that has four connections on the rear and I've not a clue how to get that working either!

I'd drive it around to dragonman but the trailing arms are really banging now so it's emergency use only at the mo :(

There are a couple of guides but they don't get specific on the wiring which is the bit I'm struggling with. Just a bit wary of connecting and hoping after I blew up the £20 digital clock last time I attempted wiring :(

Not sure you should be taking any electrical advise from me but I assume your tach will have a 12v power connection, a lighting connection and a connection to the ignition coil (do inj. Panda's have coil packs??). If you can find any sort of reference to what each connection does it should be quite simple to wire up.

pretty sure in the cento guides there is a guide to fitting a rev counter to a cento without one, will be same or at least very helpful. I know you can't just connect a gauge to a cento coil as it has 2 coils and thus you only get half the revs if you do it that way.. I am also a bit rubbish at wiring and electrical things though lol

The lights a pretty straightforward, take a feed direct from the battery (with a fuse!) and then if the lights are fog lights rather than driving lights you will need an extra switch on the dash to turn them on and off. If they are driving lights you can use the main beam feed to control them.

Didge is correct with the rev counter, the fourth will be an earth. I think you can take a feed from the ECU instead of the coil though. dragonMan had one working did he not? I think Most Easterly Pandas also had one in one of his Selectas?
