I've been searching for a while on here, and all of the posts from a few years back end with "there isn't really a way to get AUX input on the Visteon radio".

I've just found this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-SD-SD...328159?pt=Car_Audio_Video&hash=item19d35de3df

It definitely says compatible with the Visteon and CN+ in the Stilo...

Has anyone tried one of these? I was thinking it could sit in the upper glovebox nicely!

I have a Yatour that I ordered from ebay.de, but I think it should be the same - it works without a problem; you just plug it in the CD changer port and you're good to go.

That one is a Yatour coming from Germany too, so I imagine so. Does the USB port work with an iPod? Or would that just be too good to be true!

I haven't tried it but I'm sure it will not, since you have to name folders on the usb drive "CD01, CD02" and so forth for the Yatour to work.
You can, however, use your iPod if you plug it into the 3.5'' jack.

Ah that's a shame, it would have been nice to have some control over the iPod with the pause buttons etc - but that's asking a bit much considering how much cheaper it is than the Dension alternative and others.

does anyone know if there is thing that will allow ipod mp3 player oxilaruly input with a basic visteon radio and cd player (no cd excahnge and other extra)s? - my visteon radio/cd player is 2002 and will tune to fm stations only when it feels like it so I cannot use a radio tuner thing.. thanks

The device in the link in the opening post should do the trick - the Visteon radios have a connector in the back for a CD changer which was an an option with the car. This little box uses that connector to input audio.
As you don't have a cd changer, this connector will be available to use.

Xcarlink does the business, I've had one fitted for at least 5 years!

I've had the LoudLink one for about 5 years. It works most of the time and is controllable from my CN+ or a Visteon radio, and the steering wheel buttons. Occasionally it says "No CD" and I have to switch the CN+ off and on to reset it. It's got an input socket, but I've never used it and don't know what it's an input for.

I use the refrigerated glove box when driving in Greece, so didn't want to put it in there. The LoudLink is just small enough to fit in the space above the dashboard fuse box.

That fits in there perfectly!
I'm wondering if it will fit in that funny little space to the left and down of the steering wheel (with some modifications to the plastic slot (which does come out)).
Failing that, I think I will remove the upper glove box lining, drill some kind of hole in it, and let it live in there. I think I'd have to make a hole for the cable, and then cut a slot to it from the edge, get the cable into the hole and then glue (from behind) the slot back up.

That "funny little space" is where the Stop/Start button goes on cars equipped with the EastGo option. ;)

I use the refrigerated upper glove box when I go to Greece every year, so don't want any electronics there because of the risk of condensation.

I've had an xcarlink in for perhaps three years now (the generic USB with bluetooth module for handsfree, not the iphone version) connected to my vistion head unit..

I have mine situated in the small glove box and the cables run neatly through the glovebox hinge aperture and doesn't fowl the door in any way. microphone cable runs behind the head unit and sits nicely in the little useless pocket beside the steering wheel... so looks like a stock unit..

Cheers
Jonathan

Check this one. This is the smallest, cheapest and works perfectly, no bugs

I have had the Xcarlink for about 3 years now. you can set up folders, CD1, CD2 etc upto CD0, though CD5 never works for some reason. Also it seems to play songs by the date copied over to it, rather than alphabetical or anything sensible.
Sometimes it takes ages to find it and swapping to radio and back, or turning the headunit off and on again sorts it.

It's not the best solution thats for sure.

Sometimes I think the aux socket is the better way haha.
Mine (the Yatour) has an annoying feature that if you press pause, it pauses the iPod/iPhone, but there is no way to resume again.

Do they do international deliveries? I'm in Romania, which is not that far. :) Looks awesome.

Website sucks though. Pressing the change language button doesn't work.

Any feedback on how it works? :)

I do not know for international delivery. It works well. I'll record a video how it works in my car.
