Fiat Viaggio

The first Fiat to be Built in China especially for China..

It is a Dodge Dart just rebadged as a Fiat. Viaggo means Journey in Italian.

Fiat has revealed a new saloon at the Beijing Motor Show. Called the Viaggio, it's a VW Jetta-sized saloon based on the Dodge Dart.

A hatchback version of this car could make its way to the UK as a replacement for the Ford Focus-rivalling Bravo.

The differences between the Dart and Viaggio are limited to the Fiat family face at the front, new tail-lights and Fiat branding.

When it goes on sale in China from July, the Viaggio will be offered with a choice of two turbocharged petrol engines - the 1.4-litre T-Jet with either 118bhp or 147bhp. Buyers will be able to choose from a five-speed manual or a twin-clutch auto, too.


I actually would love this to be sold in the UK

I only read it in topgear today couldnt find a post on FF for it. Unless its the one which has "Dodge" in the title that conveniently i've just remembered about. EDIT; Found it. Except this image is slightly more upto date


I'm surprised FIAT arent bringing this to Europe and the UK. It could be a serious contender against the Mondeo, and Saloons are starting to be popular again. But if they are using this as the Base for the new Bravo it could be good might have to do the same as we do with the Linea and get one imported :devil:

That's a bad thing I was thinking it looked slightly like the New Mondeo, The ones that's not out in the uk..

Bound to be more reliable... The jag that is.

Could be a start for more prestige fiats

Hardly think the bravo was a rival to the focus, which is clearly better in all departments, however it needs more engine choice IMO.

I bought one of these... pick it up next week. Unfortunately only 120 HP as the 150 HP doesn't have a manual transmission option.

I wish! Unfortunately not here in China.. Doesn't have ESP either.. Or TCS (but I guess with only 120 HP don't need the latter)
