I should add a big thanks to everyone in the classic500 section of the forum.

From quick answers to puzzling questions and how to guides for brakes and door assembly etc this has been a great source of knowledge and inspiration.

I recommend it to all classic 500 owners.

Driving in bad weather obviously isn't a prerequisite or desirable....
Despite evidence to the contrary, even I'm not that obtuse. But it's a relief to hear that your self-imposed deprivation from driving a 500, (whilst it had to be restored), isn't likely to continue for ever.

Although the car probably lost 15 kg of body filler, I didn’t do the same so the upgrade to 650 barrels and pistons will hopefully compensate.

Attended another event tonight. Still having clutch drag issues so trailered it there. Shared the space with new Alfa Giulia, Ferrari 512, Dino and Alfa Spider. I’m sure my car got the most love but I could be biased...

Finally out and about.

Clutch problem was actually main shaft of gearbox stuck in the new pilot bush of crankshaft

Did a few laps of our street which happens to be a circuit so I can just keep going round and round.

There are plenty of bends and a couple of steep hills to keep it interesting, with cars coming in sideways from side streets as well...
