I have a Fiat Brava from 99. 1242cmc 16V. I noticed that my Airbag light was on so i bought 2 cables. one KKL (with 3 position switch for motor, airbag and abs) and one 3pin adapter. under the glove compartment i fount the yellow cable for airbag but it has only 2 wires. In the middle the black wire and on one side the white-red wire. I can't connect my laptop to this cable?
Is my car cable broken? and it should have 3 wires in stead of 2? Or my laptop is miss configured for Multiecuscan?

According to Autodata the connector is close to centre tunnel under drivers side. As always with airbag faults the very first thing to check is the connector from seat to the car. Look under both seats, undo any connections and give them a liberal dose of switch cleaner and connect/disconnect a few times. Most likely that will cure the problem.

Not sure, but i think the connector for the airbag is behind the glovebox, it's pretty easy to take the glovebox out, only a few screws.

Did the kkl cable work fine for your ecu scan?

I'm looking into buying OBD2 VAG 409 KKL USB Ecu Scan Diagnostic Interface With CD For Fiat but still not sure it will work because once they lent me a kkl cable and the ecu gave a "no connection " error, we even tried it on other cars and still did not work. Would really apreciate any answer , thanks
