Hi all.
I spoke about my first problem in another thread, but decided to make my own.
My speedometer isn't working for 3 years now. Cable is apparently ok, but problem is in that small white plastic gear that goes into gearbox and spins the cable.
So, the gear goes into the gearbox, and the cable is fitted on it.
I need to find that gear for my '91 Uno FIRE.
Any ideas/links/even better offers are highly appreciated.
When I eventualy find one, we'll see about fitting it in.
I have old one, and I can post the picture of it, if needed.
Here is the sample picture, to get the idea what is the part I'm talking about (this is not Uno):
The part marked with a red arrow is the piece I miss.
My old one is worn, and in the service they said it can't work anymore. Sadly, there are very few FIRE Unos here, and I cant find that gear here.
Second big issue is start-related.
Uno starts superbly with cold engine, no problems at all.
However, hot starts are usually a pain. I have really embarrasing situations at gas stations sometimes.
How come that hot engine won't start?
Anyone had similar issue?
He is 'spinning' just nicely, making noise superbly , it just wont "catch" it.
At the service, they told me the fuel pump is to blame. Like, it gets warm, and loses power. Replaced it to no result.
As said, any advice or ideas are greatly appreciated.
Otherwise, I'm satisfied with my Uno. Nice one, low-cost, and I have leather interiors and seats, decent 1.1 engine (low HP, but does job ), and kind of rough suspension (don't know if that's normal for Unos).
Of course, there are more minor issues on it, but I'll keep it short for now...
Thanks in advance, see ya'll here...
