I'm not sure if it only comes with switch stalks unit from dealer, if so about £200 (give or take £50) at a guess.

You might get used, but it needs to come from a Panda with the same steering controls and you need to be certain the clock spring has been secured 'centrally' when removed so that it isn't out by even a turn when refitted. Wen new they have a plastic securing tab which has to be pulled off once fitted. Unfortunately the clock spring I have isn't for steering controls (n)

Hey dude
So I got the new clockspring/stalk assembly. Am I right in saying once I have it fitted to the steering Column and correctly aligned, I just pull the securing tab before refitting the wheel. Any advice in addition as the haynes manual is vague to say the least. Lol

Appreciate your expertise on this

Thank you

Right. I seriously need help now. I've fitted the new clockspring. Put everything back together and tested it.

And it's STILL blowing the centre console fuse when applying about 20 degrees of lock. I've removed the stereo entirely and it still does it. What else could it be?!?!? What is the mechanical/electrical process here!!?

I'm proper struggling here :(.

Any advice welcome

Mook

Does the panda 100hp have any kind of steering wheel position sensor? I cannot fathom why applying lock can trip a fuse? Are there wiring diagrams on E-learn?

I'm absol****ingloutley pissed off

I ****ing found it!! Wiring loom behind the steering wheel
Was resting on the universal joint of the steering column. This had worn through the insulation and was shorting as the Joint turned. See below!! ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1369592875.939604.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1369592904.699145.jpg

And tested and working. I cannot see if anyone has ever messed around behind here before so it would be interesting to know where this section of loom should be positioned.

I'm so relieved. Clockspring was most obvious cause so I've no regrets there so long as it works. Plus I've got a perfectly working clockspring to sell. Lol
