I have just installed Firefox on my laptop because IE keeps freezing on me, I'm online for about 20 seconds and it freezes for no apparent reason. Is this a common problem with IE8?

Sorry but I'm just too old to know what that means
, speak to me with the assumption that I know nothing very firmly in the front of your mind 
Under program files somewhere there should be 'Internet Explorer (No Addons)' or something along those lines.

The problem seems to have been cured after I went to the Microsoft web site and downloaded a service pack. Thanks for the advice chaps
