Malware problem

Morning,

A colleague gave me a laptop to look at as they were having some issues with it. I've managed to fix everything, but I cannot get rid of two pieces of malware.
Avast blocks them, but can't clean.
They are: "alwaysisobar.com/4141/PragmaEngine_142669353233545.dll" and "bestdriver.net/4141Wallbuttress_142667337411345.dll"

I have tried malwarebytes anti-malware, Avast, Spybot, CCLeaaner, even Microsoft's Security Essentials.

Any ideas on how to get rid? Or is it a lost cause and a fresh install needed (it's Windows 7 btw).

Have a look at HiJack This

WARNING:
It is possible to "fix" (delete) essential system files with HJT - read the guide carefully, and use the various database links to determine what's safe and what isn't. Each section will also recommend ways to remove the different types of malware

Look into a "Bootable" Anti-virus Disk. That way you can boot outside the OS and the antivirus programs have more chance of getting rid of it permanently.

^^ Those are the two I most frequently used. I've yet to find any kind of filth either one of those two haven't managed to get rid off.
