I will also be in the market for a new exhaust at some point (need to get another job first!!)..........

The tollerances are so fine within the gearbox components unless you really know exactly what you are doing leave well alone.

As for custom systems have a look at Powerflow I highly recommend them.

I know Doc, the bloke that bought it had been after it for months and told him many times in the past to F/O and get his own. Had a few really nice drives in her before she went which made passing the keys even worse but at least I know she's got a good home where I can look after it now and again.
 
Pics to follow but due to exhaust falling clean of the car at 60mph without notice from the backbox back , i have replaced it with a powerflow system cat back . collected the car tonight with the sight of a 5"x3" oval pipe stainless pipe from the back of my car . the left over exhaust was still lying laid out on the floor , i have heard comments about the weight of the barchetta exhaust , seeing is believing ,was it made that way to limit the true noise you can achieve by shortening the exhaust and losing one of the silencers.
