International EPIC ROADTRIP TO ITALY!! summer 2014

@puntoboii thats me out then :( its summer holidays and I'm not given holidays in work that time of year.
Damn :( if it all goes to plan I may make it a regular occasion like every year or every 2 years so if that happens I could always do one where you can come along :D even though my gp won't be around after this my eyes been caught on a bravo or abarth :)

it would of been nice to come along to be honest. never know may be able to sort something yet. My fuel bill would prob be the lowest. as explaining to dombooth on sunday, I'm getting almost double his MPG ;D

Not forgetting Diesel is cheaper than petrol over the water also :D

ben Reuuk its going to be in august 2014 possibly the 7th-17th a nice 10days out :) cjdl route is still in the process of being arranged I'm looking for ideas before coming it with a definite route of where we'll be going as for speaking the lingo I have no knolage of French Italian did German in school but that'll be gone out my head always time to learn ;)
Think that cancels me out too then - I'll be around from May > July I guess (Depending on the dates for Brooklands and Stanford).

We'll see though - things might change :)

If there's a few which can't do that date I can always fetch it forward to end of June in July if people can let me no on the availability I can get a date arranged to suit everyone :)

The thing is, some people like 10 day breaks because they can take 2 weeks off work but it gives them time to prepare beforehand and/or recover afterwards.

Plus it will work out cheaper.
Could always set up a poll for the duration to ;) I don't mind if its 10 or 14 days but I reckon a poll for the duration of the road trip and when and see what results I get

I'm easy for duration. 10 days gives 'ample' time. 2 Weeks would give plenty of time for camping and chilling out in the sun a bit :)

Regarding the dates, avoiding the English & Welsh school holidays might be an idea, (cost, availability of ferries etc) so probably late June / eary July would be better.

:yeahthat: tbh I think 10 days will be more than ample and probably too long already tbh. What exactly do you plan to do to fill the days other than driving from A-B

7-10 days would be about right, 14 days far to long IMO.

I average 50-55 normal working week, long journeys and were talking more 62-67mpg (sitting at 60) ;) Dom wasn't happy when I told him haha

is those readings of the trip computer?:p or is that from using fuelly? cause i always thought trip computer was a bit optimistic sometimes, mine has read 69 before....yes different car but wherever true reading or not but would it be wishful thinking to think thats true data from car?
