Guys,

About 10 days ago I was forced to replace the exhaust on my Brava as the back box had fallen off. The guy at the garage said it would need to be replaced from the Cat back. This morning when I was driving up the road in 2nd gear the engine light came on flashing. After about 20 secs it would go off but then come back on again flashing.

Is this anything to do with the exhaust change & will this be covered by the garage?

Thanks for your help.

Gordon.

I'm not Fiat specific.
However I know from other vehicles that a malfunctioning Cat or Lambda will put on an engine management light.
I would bet money that the cat or lambda is at fault. Catalytic convertors in particular are fragile and the exhaust fitting could easily have damaged it.

Jug,

There wasa slight misfire but it never did it the whole way home. The guy at the garage has offered to check it over. He seemed to think it might be one of the exhaust seals?
