Hello everyone,
i have a 1998 Fiat Bravo 182 with the 1.4 12v motor. As of now the motor is not in immediate danger, will be changing the timing belt to see if it will fix a bunch of codes it is throwing since the previous belt change appears to have not been put correctly and has advanced the engine a bit making it run rather rough. In any case i have read about the engine in question and have noted that thees seem to be rather self-destructive since the cam might not get enough lubrication and eat itself. My question is since I'm leaning towards an engine swap, what could be the best and most "direct" engine swap. I've been looking into the 1.2 16v but is it possible and what would it require. Is the later 1.4 16v also possible and what would that require as well?
