I have a 899cc cinq sx (1997) and it surging on tick over realy bad (at about 1000rmp to 500rmp) and the cuts out and then strugles to start, but if you rev it, it doesn't cut out but just sounds a bit rough. iv put in 4 new plugs but still no joy. can anybody please help????

Don,t know if its relevant at all but a friend had a 899cc Sei and his car would do this.
He had a diagnostic done by a mobile tuner and his battery was,nt holding charge very well but his alternator was fine.
He bought a new battery and it stopped,so perhaps a mobile tune might help
