Engine has a miss

Pls help with Uno having a terrible miss, has no power and heavy on fuel.
replaced the distributor cap and leads. still the same.

you need to make sure engine is in good tune before changing parts
for instance could the timing belt have lost a tooth/skipped a notch
is there any compression
do you have a burnt out valve
etc
sorry really hard to help
can you get a haynes manual out there?

whats a modulator?
your car has wizz bang go
ie
compression
spark
fuel
it runs

so do a compression test first off to confirm this
then check for healthy spark in relation to piston position
then make sure fuel is entering in the right amount

Modulators used to be on the distributor. nowadays its sold separately and a friend says replace it.

That would be a condensor.

Get the Haynes (lots of bootleg ones on the interweb) or eBay.

But better by far posting in the Uno section.

no idea what age / model your Uno is,
if it's on a FIRE engine 1.0 / 1.1 then this engine guide may help check the timing of the cambelt;

does your car have an oxygen/ lambda sensor in the exhaust ?
