Technical ELx Completely Dead !!!!

If it's an ELX, it will be a Mk2

If you bump start it you could knacker the O2 sensor/Cat.

.......mines is an ELX,
and not had a proby with it,
tho I must say, not had many times I've had to bump it,
(when I leave it for any length of time)
when I do, it's usually in reverse, it will start first time.

My mistake, there was a Mk1 ELX.

However it will still have a cat/O2 on it, and bump starting a car with a cat/o2 sensor can knacker it as unburnt fuel can get to either.

calm down bumping a car a few times will be ok but if you have to bump it everyday then expected shorter life for the cat
