I won the bidding on this item,,,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....arch.dll?from=R40&satitle=+320097273929&fvi=1
,,,and recieved it 3 days later, from the moment I installed it, it would only play a select few cds, those it wouldn't play it would show CD ERROR 4. Thinking the head was dirty I waited a cuple of days till the weekend and bought a CD/DVD head cleaner, but it was no good, still the same error code.
I returned the unit and the seller agreed to send another unit as a replacement. Which arrived today, and is the same unit I returned, not just in looks but its the exact unit. And guess what, it still shows the same error codes CD ERROR 4.
I then sent him this message a few moments ago,,,
"It would appear that you have returned the CD changer that I sent back to you as faulty. I know this as I noted down the 4 digit security code and the unit is still tuned to the stations I selected.
If you claim that it is repaired, it is not as the 1st CD I loaded showed CD ERROR 4, this same CD I tried in my friends ca which has the same unit and it played fine, in fact his same unit had no trouble at all playing any of my CDs.
I shall be returning this unit to you and I will ask for a full refund, including postage for the 2nd return as this isn't cheap. £110
If you object to this I will contact EBay and open a dispute of being sold a faulty item listed as a fully working unit.
Garry James"
Do you think thats all I can do?
