Have upgraded the front speakers in my X250 van (2012) with the German Elton easy fit kit, pricey, but seems pretty good. It is a midbase in the door and new tweeter in the a pillar trim.
Through fiddling and googling, I have found a rear speaker wiring plug in the B pillar, drivers side, relay fusebox, by drivers seat belt. There are also some interesting cables in here, like a heavy duty power connector, that I presume is form either a leisure battery or rear habitation power for the converters. BUt I have not fiddled with it yet to see what it does!
There are two female (I think) connectors in here also, one a 6 way (with 5 pins connected) and one a bigger, i think 15 way one.
The 6 ways connector has the rear speaker wiring, by connecting up a speaker on loose wires, ive located the left and right rear speaker channels all connected up. Great. So next step is to see if I can buy the male plug that will plug in and allow me to make up a loom for the rear speakers I am goign to fit. Just for a bit of rear fill, nothing mad.
Anyone know if you can but these and if so from where? Google is not helping in the search! I suspect the 5th pin on this connector is a switch live or something, I have note tested it yet though.
If anyone can help with this and or advise on what the other larger 15 way connector is, and what the big power connector does, I'd be grateful.
