General Door sensors

Hey,

Just being curious here, does my MK2 have door sensors that'd trigger the red door icon? Now I've never seen that icon ever pop up when a door is open so is it on only certain models, the interior light comes on when door is open that's it but it'd be nice to have that icon too. Is there anyway of checking this in the wiring etc?

My MK2 is a 2000 W reg, no model just Fiat Punto no active or anything like that.

Should have it
or maybe it was an extra?

I have it for my doors and boot.
the other punto in the house just has it for doors

Is yours a 2000 model too? Is there anyway of checking the wiring, where are the sensors located so I can see if they been disconnected for any reason...

2001 so pretty much the same

Mine being an elx model though, i think the only difference there though is front fogs

Aha, well I don't have front fogs the only sensor I've found is that little thing that you can push in but that only turns on/off the interior light....

Have you the clocks with the rev counter?
if not the symbol might not be on the cluster:bang:

Yep, I have the rev counter gonna have a look at the boot lock and see what I can find there and for the doors; well I will wait until Ziggy comes with his knowledge on that one
