whats missing in Docs engine compartment is.. chrome(-plated) fluids containers... those 2 penny-a-piece ugly plastic boxes are just so unsightly

How do you use that "breather" catch tank? does it recycle oils back to engine?
The catch tank basically catches all the vapour from the crank case which is a mix of oil, carbon etc. Then I assume you empty it periodically?

Yep thats spot on. It also gives you a good idea of whats going on in the engine when you look at whats in the tank.
:chin: and Doc, exactly how many times have you had to empty yours??

Its been on the car for nine months now and its only had about 10ml of liquid in all that time but I am not putting lots of miles on the car these days. I think the tank helps keep the oil smell down more then anything on a good engine as you should not be getting loads of liquid from the top of the B engine.

I will be working on the B all day tomorrow as I want to clean up more of the rear suspension on the car. The rear wheel brake back plate and cross bar needs cleaning and painting.

Five hours of cleaning and the car is ready for tomorrow. All four wheels came off and I cleaned just about everything hehehe

Oh bum, I have spent about an hour with a chamois, no chance of matching yours this time!!
Very upset actually, I have found quite a few scratches that have appeared since I cleaned it last plus a few scratches from a neighbour's car that keeps sleeping on the roof. If I had the time I would have got some scratch remover and spent the day getting the scratches out then polishing and waxing again...........(mind you she's not looking too bad for a car that is used every day)
