That looks excellent Doc, bet you cant wait to get it fitted and see the difference it makes.
Engine bay is going to look sweet when you get this work all done(y)
You've got me started painting more bits too, painted the sills along the underside of the car the other day as they had been damaged.

I painted the sills black to hid them a bit, I posted pics of the wheels before i painted the sills and you can really see the damage, now its not so bad.
I do plan on getting back under the bonnet and re-doing the rocker cover as the flat red on it just isn't working for me :bang:

So after a good week working on the engine cover, below is a few first look pictures. I still have about three hours or so more work to go getting the shine perfect but you can see its coming together now. I think what made it so hard was it had been painted three times before so that added to the job.

I have to give credit to barchetta_97 as it was his project that came out so well I just had to give it a go. Nice one m8.

Because of all the paint that was on the engine cover it was all inside the text and I could not get it out so gave up and got shot of them as its taken hours just to get it like this.

At the mo I think I still llike the silver painted style the best but once the polishing is finished I think that will be my fave.

my fingers fall off... and i am not even close to end... i buy this dremel tool for 20€, i hope it will be usefully for removing rust between words and corners. i hope to finish this until next weekend so i can paint it to silver with red words. or oposite? red with silver words? :bang: i dont know...

look at that rust 'n' shine difference:

Thanks man!.. (y)
I just checked unerbonnet and my rockercover has really kept it's shine, that "sinol" painting has really done its job. ;)

That autosol metal polish is good choice too, cheap and does what you want it to do, couple treatmets with it and it really shines.. (y)

Don't think that you will notice any difference by upgrading the lines to braided, the appatures etc are still the same and you still have the same callipers etc. If you upgraded the callipers then you would see the difference, braided provide better protection against splitting under pressure and degredation under lots of ambient heat - ah, and they look better!!

he doc, dont you need CCC's ? Or did you coilovers come with camber adjustment kits?

Morning Doc, Hope all is well with you and Bec,s

When you planning to get the new manifold on.

I also bought one :D. just need to purchase new gaskets.

Would this be best as an original fiat part or would any car spares be ok.
Also would this gasket be same as punto HGT or specific for the B.

Hi m8
I got mine from Fiat and they should be sitting on a shelf ready for me to collect now. ETA for the gaskets was only a day or so, so no problems getting them. The HGT gaskets are the same as the B so that also helps the ETA of the parts and some Fiats have them in stock.

Dont forget you need the CAT gasket m8 (y)
