They have taken 2 months to rebuild my Stilo- blaming everyone but themselves, they've had to give it back to me on a temporary basis as the guaranteed hire car is joke and they take it back after 14 days and i needed a car. Its back minus ASR, front splitter, a ripped tint (i am very annoyed at that as it shouldnt have been touched) same window leaks, specks of white paint on dashboard (the car is black) and drivers side tweeter not working. I knew it would come back incomplete but on monday this thing went for quality control checks as though it was finished. I am going to put a big list in the car of things not right, and i will also post my complaint letter on here in couple of days time which will tell the whole story.

Basically it looks as though they couldnt organise a **** up in a brewery.

just for a different opinion... im with direct line and when i had my bump they came to collect my car two days after i registered the claim and it took ten days to reapir which was pretty quick and it came back perfect. also whenever i chased them up they were always helpful! however i didnt get a courtesy car which pi**** me off as i had to pay extra for this which i didnt know about so ended up taking hols from work. all in all though id reccomend them as insurers! but with respect to you, it only takes one bad episode to put you off for life! BTW sorry to hear about the hassle you've had :(

Just for the record, they made a mess of my last car as well when someone rear ended me. I only stayed with them coz of who i work for.

They fixed my Nova in 1994 and did an excellent job, there was a slight ripple on the bonnet and when I complained they replaced it no questions, it all depends on the repairer they've used, this was Brian Robson Coackworks in St.Albans, Herts....an excellent repairer, well it was 10 years ago!

I'm with Direct Line, Stilo and Punto. Wife smashed up the punto on the M25. Complete write off. Within a week we had full settlement money.. Paid £3000 and got £3900 back! Fair deal I think. Can't really fault them. Not only that they are chasing the insurer to get our out of pocket expenses back, including the cost of a trip to Derby to collect the replacement Punto.

Hiya , I am with alliance and leicster. when I smashed my Stilo,
they sent me a brand new rover 75 to tide me over untill my car was assesed for damages. and to get a courtesy car. I had the rover 3 weeks and courtesy car 3 months . and not one call from anyone pestering for them back. (y)
