Technical radio/cd not working after battery charging

Hi, I just have a blank radio/cd display after reconnecting the battery, I guess the radio/cd is now broken. I tried disconnecting the battery again and reconnecting but the radio is still the same and does'nt respond to any buttons or even ask for a code.

Does anyone have a spare Stilo radio/cd ?

Hello,

Check the fuses.

There should be one at the back of the radio and another one in the fusebox (possibly there are more than one fuseboxes in the car).

Check for the voltage on the loom which is connected on the back of the radio.

Sorry my post was not clear. My radio display lights up but is totally blank, all the fuses are OK, inc the one fitted into the back of the radio. I think I have found a replacement fiat radio/cd. It just seems odd that it lights up but does'nt work at all.

Perhaps it needs some security code. But usually it should display 'code' or a key symbol.

Have replaced unit with another exactly the same and that one seems to work fine.
