Hi guys

had to replace the exhaust today ( int pipe and rear silancer ) and woundered is there a such thing as a de catt down pipe to replace the catt down pipe that would fit the std exhaust to save money and give more power.

yeah there is, try it, see if you like it, if you do, keep it, if not throw a wobbly that you spent money on something that does nothing :p
 
It will loose power and kill and low down torque if you just decat it. It needs the back pressure in the system. You can use a sports cat though and that will help.
 
You can have one made, I agree with the other posters in that you will not gain that much on the power side.
The engine is tuned to have the cat in place. If you do use a pipe to replace the cat it will not pass MOT. Keep the cat so you can replace it for the MOT (doesn't help on roadside inspections). The cat does a good job of muffling so be prepared for a louder exhaust. To gain the power I think you are looking for you would also have to change cams, remap computer, ... At that point forget about passing MOT and use it for a track car. Sorry
