Pulling 7-6k in front of a police car with a straight through pipe will get an instant pull because you immediately single yourself out as driving like a c**t..they'll pick on anything at that moment they can think of even if they haven't got you doing anything illegal

Yep they pulled someone I know driving normally for 'looking like a pr**k' the shocking thing is they told him . Checked his documents, made sure he wasn't a terroist / illegal immigrant despite speaking perfect english with a regional accent! then sent him on his way :bang:.

what criteria do you think they would use?
AFAIK they dont need an offence to pull you as such and obviously
fitting the classic stereotype of a young guy driving a modded car like an idiot stands out.
see my link in the idiots thread of another classic boy racer gone wrong.
lucky im not a traffic cop,i'd be their worst nightmare

He was driving a completly standard Citroen C4.... I just think he didn't get his leg over the night before.

but wheres the harm? they pull someone over and if nothings untoward and the cars legal its costs them a few minutes of their time.
not every illegal car looks that way, otherwise the police would spend all day looking for clapped out escorts and the like.
ive never had a problem being pulled over, used ot get it all the time with late finishes as a chef and get it now with early starts as im on the road in the boy racer time periods at the weekends

Im not complaining and Im not saying there is any harm I totally agree with what they do. Im just saying it happens to everyone and doing anything else to draw attention to yourself is dumb like beau being newly passed doing 6000rpm+ past a cop car.

yes but these are the same hard done by young drivers who are good drivers not like the other young drivers ;)

I would have told him to shut his f'in mouth unless he wants to brawl it out right here in the street.

I hate five-oh who think just because they wear the uniform they are better then everyone else. See how much better then a slap in a mouth you are.

The ones who do their job properly like humans, good on all of them. This is not a lets start a "I hate police" post.

I had more problems off the police when I was driving my Seicento 'S' about than I've ever had with my starlet GT! and my GT's got a bloody huge FMIC on show at the front and police don't bat an eyelid. Drive a standard Seicento 'S' and they pull you a good few times lol :(

hmm, only time I've ever been pulled in the starlet is when I've deserved it. However they leave me alone otherwise but maybe its because I don't drive like a boy racer lol. I used to get lots of evil looks off police when I was driving the Seicento and got pulled a good few times while driving home from work at night etc...

i've was pulled fairly often when i was younger, sometimes i'd get pulled a few times in the same night, and even by the same cops. they love giving out producers and defect notices but at the end of the day does it really do any harm if they are checking up to make sure everyone is legal?

yes it was annoying when they made unreasonable requests, such as asking me to remove my sub so they can see inside the box because "we have reason to susepct you are smuggling drugs", or asking me to prove my engine size because my car was "definately faster than it should be", but you need to remember that they didnt do very well at school so just play along and act like you respect the law, then they'll let you go quicker.
