Technical crank case end bolt tuff torque

Cant seam to turn the crankshaft end bolt. I take it under normal circumstances the torque is quite high, Its difficult trying to hold the engine on my do it youself work table while i fruitlessly try to turn the bolt

you have the negine out and are trying to turn the engine over via the crank bolt?
if so yes it will be hard to turn.
