A lot of us are "knocking on" a bit so questions might justifiably be raised over our judgement on some things, but "mad"? - probably not.

I'm not just mad, I'm furious.
Had my first dose of AZ yesterday, a slightly achy arm but otherwise no ill effects

As far as i could follow the experiences, my own included, the reactions obviously depend widely on personal dispositions.Tell a lie, the fever got me now, over 24 hours later
Example (all AZ): A friend without any disposition to headache felt almost nothing. Myself with a disposition to short migraine attacks (usually 10 minutes) had a 20 minutes attack, both male, the first early, the latter mid 60s. Another friend (female, late 50s) with a disposition to longer lasting headache attacks suffered for two days.

Yep, that happened to me, too. Take some paracetamol, and rest.

Had the 1st jab in March next day felt lousy, my wife felt fine, she had no reaction. On the second jabs I was o.k but it knocked my wife out for 2 days! I wonder if the vaccine is exactly the same for 1st & 2nd jab & how the forthcoming injections will affect us. Don’t mind as long as they work, it looks as if they do!
It seems to me that the response to the vaccines is as variable as the disease. Had second pfizer last week, was absolutely fine all of the first day, woke with a headache on days two & three, which quickly resolved with paracetamol, so only a mild reaction for me.
I think some of the sore arm side effects may be down to the skill of the vaccinator; my second was done by a retired doctor, and I didn't feel a thing, either during or afterwards.

Yesterday Mrs Jeroen and I got our first Pfizer BioNtech shot. No serious side-effects (yet). However, I can confirm that there's no complimentary jam in Holland I also asked for a special "Jip & Janneke" bandaid, but they didn't have that either. The nurse suggested bringing my own for the second shot
For the first available opportunity, we had to drive a bit through the county (from Alkmaar to Uitgeest for me and from there to Hoorn for the mrs) but that was by our own choice. June 13th our second shots and full protection just before midsommer

Sadly it looks like Taiwan's defenses have finally been breached. Not a massive amount of infections yet, but it's going up each day (330 now).
Taipei is in semi lockdown.
Here down South we seem to be ok (it hasn't made it past the center of Taiwan yet) - but of course as soon as the news hit, all the university students in Taipei started running back home to the South.... sigh.
As a consequence of this also, now all the available vaccine has run out - so I might not be able to get my second shot.
If things get much worse over the next few weeks, I might as well return to the UK (especially now Nando's is open!)

In Fraserburgh of all places, an eighteen month baby boy has been diagnosed with COVID. It was initially thought it was a bacterial infection, but after a COVID 19 test it was indeed the virus. A bit frightening to say the least, especially for the parents.
Our two year old probably had it...given me and his mother were covid positive last October and she'd got it at a baby group where he'd gone up to a friend who tested positive the following day and gave them a hug.
They decided to turn up despite feeling unwell and having tests book for the following day..nice of them.
He never had a test but was a little unwell, hopefully the child involved will be fine.
My experience of the pandemic. I am an administration worker in a hospital in Greece. We lost a coworker in the beginning of the pandemic last year but since then, even if we had quite a few of people tested positive and many of them had to be hospitalised, we haven't lost anyone else. That cannot be said for the people in the town were I live. The majority of the hospital personnel have been vaccinated as have i and we have a good count of antibodies. A few days before, one of my colleagues that haven't got vaccinated, was tested positive. He has a heart related problem but he seems to have gone through Covid safe. There is hope that we will overcome this hopefully with the minimum losses.

I got a text message from the surgery on Monday afternoon with a link in it. Click on link, confirm details, then pick slot. Confirmed with an instant text message. Got another text message yesterday as a reminder.
Noticeably busier in there today than the 1st jab 2-months ago, some people getting their 1st, others getting their 2nd.
All very well organised both at the surgery and appointment booking.

Summary:
Covid19 was created in a lab.
This is fine, as it is part of normal research into viruses, and done in several places around the world.
It escaped due to a laboratory accident, and poor security protocols.
