Hi
i am getting a clunk when turning the steering (loudest when turning right when going slow), but only when moving, I can't get it to clunk when turning lock to lock stationary. I know the racks are suspect but wouldn't it do it all the time? The noise sounds like a coil spring moving but the front coils don't seem to be broken?

I would suspect the cv joint in the driveshaft. If turning left and it makes a noise it is usually the cv joint in the right hand side shaft and the opposite if turning right.

When I had my Scudo I had one replaced around £100 including labour and parts nearly two years ago.

Hi
its a 2002 2.0 jtd
i am starting to notice some noise over pot holes as well ?

Hi
On close inspection, I found that there was some play in the bottom ball joint. I have just fitted a complete new n/s wishbone as there was also lots of movement in the rubber bushes where the wishbone mounts to the chassis. Just been for a quick round the block and it appears to be much improved, just wondering if I should do the otherside as well !
