General Clear indicators question MK1

Hya, i've just ordered clear indicators and side repeaters to go on my mk1 punto.

I'm guessing i also need to purchase amber bulbs as the existing ones will be clear and probably not road legal?

I've had a look on ebay and can find two types of bulb, amber and chrome. Which of these would look better? I prefer the more standard look to the car, so i'm guessing the amber ones? Do the chrome ones look much better? They are both the same price...

If you ordered from Fiat they come with the bulb

Iirc the amber bulb used is staggered pin so a clear bulb doesn't fit.

We used amber bulbs for years, couldn't really see the colour of the bulb

if bulbs have staggered pin so they dont fit just file one of the pins off
did this for years when these bulbs first came out because they cost a fortune

To answer the question Orange or Chrome. It's personal choice. Just fitted some blue/chrome to my daughters "pink cinq" as they take away the fried egg look. The straight chrome become invisible behind the lens (until used obviously) also depends on how diffused the lens, clear lenses look far better with silver bulbs in my opinion.

i bought a set of clear indicators for my mk1 and it had orange covers inside, so when you indicated with a clear bulb it still lit orange
