i think it's funny when people laugh at my car. I just smile and nod. I don't get wound up. Driving a Cinq with massive flaps and lotsa red **** stuck to it is bound to spark a few chuckles. I love the attention!lol

Ditto, and that massive chunk of painted aluminium hanging off the back of mine really helps the stares

got stuck in traffic today and had 3 different people shout abuse @ me and babysei.....stuff like..you shud get a corsa...your wheels shud be silver....blah ****ing blah.....if i wanted a BOG standard Fiat I wudnt have touched the ****er.....arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i am totally with u on this different thing... i love to stand out an b different, wouldnt we get bored if everythin looked the same?

the stares i get make me laf, i actually like the attention, it goes further than a car tho, the way i dress, my hair... is all in an effort to b somethin different, offer somethin more than the townie drivin the saxo wearing the burberry cap.

u should b who YOU WANT to b, not who OTHER PEOPLE THINK u should b!

you car is yours, they might not like it... but then again, they dont own it so their opinions really dont mean a thing!

i disagree with people saying charvs just have a go at lasses.

i would say its the complete opposite actually. Up north charvs seem to try and have a go at blokes more to try and get into a fight.

i always just turn my music up dead loud and stick my fingers up at them and soemtimes like to slow right down next to them and shout at the top of my voice "**** OFF CHARV".

Nowadays, I have to drive quite quickly when passing them as they tend to pick up stones and throw them at my car.

babysei i know exactly wat u mean some lads in a 1 litre corsa was laughin at me last night they tried racing me and i won then they sat behind me started revving there engine i flicked a switch in my car and opps a 3 foot flame come out and shattered there number plate i do love my car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree with all thats been said here. I get laughed at a lot with Geoff but then I have got laughed at forever and a day. Yet, "I dont care" is the general theme and I would like to dispute that.

I care. I care a whole big smelly deal about people laughing at my car. But then i look at them in their (dads) Merc/Beemer avec plastique bits, and chuckle slowly to myself.

I think there is a lot of laughing that goes on both ways in this debate. The laughter from Saxo/Corsa/Nova drivers about people having different cars, ht elaughter from Calibra/Cavalier/Merc/Beemer drivers about the smaller modders, and the laughter from all the small fiat drivers who know that their car is the best of all.

I personally love driving and modding Geoff because at the end of the day he looks a damn sight smarter than he did when I bought him, he gets me where I am going, and I have a hell of a lot of fun getting there. not to mention I didnt pay as much for him as Corsa people, I dont pay as much insurance as Corsa people, and I actually have an OLDER girlfriend, rather than a twelve y/o one.

I just looked back over this entry and relaised it doesnt make a whole lot of sense as regards a point. But hey - thats small fiat drivers for you.
