I am surprised no-one here has used that idea of extra bling on the dashboard. It looks like one of the sill embellishing strips.

Hmmmmm.......... according to the article it's a 127 Abarth - predecessor to the Uno, but then it is the Daily Mail.

It's so rare though Reading the description makes you want to reach for the bullsh*t button.

Didn't someone post up recently with a red 500 that had the same steering wheel and strip across the dash. IIRC the general consensus was that it was produced during the change over from F/L to R and bits of both were used. Maybe they also had a surplus of 500L sill trims and were wondering what to do with them all.

It has the same steering wheel etc. and the same strip on the dash, so I'm wondering if it was factory fit for a while.
