Well, my dual cam came & I duly set it up.
I don't think it's bad for less than £50.
That's far less than many spend on a night out & got to be worth the money for the peace of mind of knowing that if some twonk does the dirty on you, you have the evidence to prove your innocence.

My replacement bracket arrived a few weeks ago, its been fitted and forgotten about since then. I guess I should really review some of the videos to ensure its working OK.

Seems to have a flat battery
I suspect a 6 mile drive is not enough to charge it every day lol

Are you using the correct cable? I've had a couple of cams come with 2 cables, one to drop footage to PC, the other specifically for power.
Alternatively, some cams give you options when you connect a usb - record, charge or mass storage device.
I do about 3.5 miles each way & haven't had problems with the battery dying. The cam shouldn't be using more juice than the power supply can give it.
I just leave mine plugged in all the time. Don't really need much of a battery tbh
I also leave mine plugged in all the time, however, the battery is used to allow the unit to continue recording & then go on to save the files long after power is turned off. Mine has the option to stop immediately or turn off after 1 and 5 minutes.
This extended recording time could prove a Godsend should you be in a prang & the electrics cut out or you HAVE to turn off the ignition for whatever reason. It might just capture the initial moments where the nobjock jumps out of his car to give you a verbal thrashing - which many idiots at fault tend to want to do.
I wonder if they feel that by doing this, it somehow puts them in the right or makes you feel guilty enough to change your views?
I've mine set to record for either 10 or 15min after ignition goes off (can't remember which) but it always goes off after 20secs

my 'shutdown time' is set to 5 mins (the max in my options) but also shuts down exactly 10 seconds after my ignition

All I can tell you is that mine is set to shutdown long after power goes off - and that's what happens.

If it's that bad, might be worth opening it up. The battery is probably a common cell & easy to replace?
