If you can't be arsed to travel to a fiat dealer, just use Magnatec.

I'm all for looking after my motor, but I really can't justify a 40 mile trip to Fiat for oil when there's a halfords half a mile down the road. Besides, Fiat themselves have used Magnatec when servicing my car in the past (Fiat might not even have some Selenia!?). Plus I really doubt one is particularly any better than the other, but I'll guarantee Fiat will charge you more (for Selenia).

Re: ..easy life

Shell Helix Plus, it is used for oil changes in EU by Fiat dealers whit selenia. Im using it 10 years now and no problem ever.
Just to add, I dont like castrol, but its only IMO

Re: ..easy life

thanks for the advice, as it has fiat service history is it likely its been run on selenia before then? or will they use other brand such as magnatec? will have a look on that site..cheers

Re: ..easy life

its likely. but as nico said, they can be cowboys, and its not written in stone that they'd use selenia.

Re: ..easy life

with regards to the filter, ive been told in the past that for fiats only use OE ones because of something to do with non-OE ones not retaining oil when switched off? should i get an oe one or not?
