Technical Changing Brake pads...

I bought a set of discs and pads which were Tarox G88 you can see a pic of them here http://www.users.waitrose.com/~enrico/maser16.htm I can honestly say they are the dogs, I never ever had brake fade, the brakes generated grip as they heated so you felt the brake effort build as you slowed. They were never noisey in operation or squeaking and I would recommend them too anyone. Frenitalia are a good company to deal with as well. (y)

How do you check your front pads? You could do worse than look here

You could also probably find better :) Use a torch

Oddly enough the fact you may need to top up your hydraulic fluid as it's gotten low will often be a clue your pads are getting worn thin (assuming you have no leaks)

just changed my pads, they are ebc they seem ok but do make alot of squelling. i suppose this is normal but i've don about 150 miles now and still no change. anybody had the same problem? also i didnt use any grease when changing my pads, don't know if it has anthing to do with the noise. but where are you supposed to put the grease anyway?

a bit of copper slip on the back if the pads and on the locating lugs never hurts. Take care not to get any on the friction face or the disc though.

FYI If anyone holds an MSA competition license you can get 50% off ebc direct.
