Technical Fiat Stilo Abarth Front Brake Discs Calipers 330mm Coversion

i converted my front 281mm brake discs to the 330mm brembo calipers and big discs.here is the details.i used alfa romeo brera 3.2 front calipers and discs.my friend made a custom brucket and used 18mm spacers from FG Spacer...this is the largest and biggest disc brakes and calipers can fit in to the 17' wheels...

I would like to ask if there was a performance reason to make this happen or just looks?

I'm asking as originally the Stilo had quite good brake performance:

Although slight fading can be observed, but 100 km/h to standstill distance is quite decent even today. Not to mention modern, better tyres / pads / rotors may achieve even better than the 22 years ago factory fitted ones.

The Giulietta QV cannot achieve better result for example:

Also, why not Abarth 500 brakes? --Bi-material rotors are available--

If you did that in the UK or France it would most certainly fail the MoT/CT, and would invalidate your insurance in an accident.
