General Central locking only works from the passenger side

Hi folks,

When I first bought this car a year ago the manual central locking was fine but after a month or so it stopped working from the drivers door.

Passenger side it works fine. Also, if I lock from the inside with one of the doors open, the buttons pop back up.

Its a 53 plate facelift 3 door punto active.

So to confirm

If you lock the Car Internally with the drivers door - does it lock the passenger?
If the Drivers doors locked - and you pull the knob up - does it unlock the passenger door?
If you pullt he door handle when the drivers doors locked, - does it open the passenger door?

Had the same issue. you need to buy and fit one of these

RIGHT Door lock cylinder FIAT PUNTO II 1999 - 2003 3 door model with keys from ebay.
