Is this a joke? Picture is useless. Do a better one!

It could be ECU, some alarm system, tuning box ("fobs" = potentiometers?). Just a (storage) box?
Are there any connections to it? Cables (electrical, mechanical), hoses, pipes...

Hi, sorry, English is not my first language, does this help? I am at work right now and can't take a better picture of it, maybe tonight!

Also there are some cables connecting to it on the back side, and yes, there are some potentiometers on up side with some rubber caps.

No the pic ture is still fuzzy and you cant see what or how its connected. My guess is its an old alarm but you need to be sure. Are there any numbers on the box ? what does the label say. My first job would be get hte cover off and see whats inside...

I'll get more pictures tonight, the only problem is that it has a key fob for it to be opened, I'll be back, thanks for the help so far!

Some old alarms from that era look similar: black box with some round thing (knob/plug) at the top.

Hello again, i have made new photos of "the hox"

It also has this wiring attached to it on the back side, and from it it comes a "hood pin switch" that I've never seen before, for sure this car has been thinkered with!

Also, i did have the same allarm sfere on my other car, and doesn't look like an allarm, i was thinking maybe a buzzer if they can come this big?

What's the point of such mystery threads? Is this a TV show, quiz ("guess what it is")?
Is there a problem with that box or with the car (engine doesn't start)?
No problems? Leave it alone then.
But mind, that you may need a key to this alarm box in case of battery replacement for example.
Such alarms detect power loss and will start siren (that type of alarm often had it's own battery, you need a key to silence the siren).
