General CD Player always starts from beginning...

Now I seem to remember seeing a thread on this not long ago, but I can't find it! :bang:

Why does the CD always start from the beginning every time you start the car and not from the last track??? Is there any way to change this as I play MP3 disks with 100's of tracks on and it's a right pain in the a**e.

Its an Abarth with that big screen jobbie BTW...

usually when this happens you need to swap the yellow an red wires or plug both wires into the same one

Oh no... Taking stuff to bits and me doesn't end up good. I get spare parts all of the time!

if its the original visteon one theres very little you can do about it since it was made for the stilo and modifying the wiring will probably make it useless

since the stilo doesnt have an ignition feed an aftermarket unit will have to have a permanent live so it will keep its memory and is a problem with the design on the unit unfortuantly

Its the original one mate, i'll just have to put less mp3's on a disc!

i have a tape unit doing nothing- u can make your own compilations on a cassette and when the car stops, and you start it again, the tape doesnt start from the beginning again
